--The Marysville Skating Club would like to invite you to participate in the Summer Fun Meet which will be held on Sunday July 14th 2013 at the Marysville Skate Inn--

ENTRY FEES: *Individual entry is $15.00 and $8.00 for each additional event, Junior B Precision $6.00 *Special Fun Events $8.00-If you are only skating a fun event, there is only an $8.00 fee. *All fees must be paid by July 14th. JOHN SOUZA UPDATE-June 12
Another post for John... HE GETS TO COME HOME ON FRIDAY!!!!!!!!
he has had so much experience with the wheelchair, transferring to the bed, shower, etc .,that he passed all of their ability tests with fliyng colors to come home. He even rolled all over the area to prove he can go almost a mile using the chair! Of course he will still have a lot of PT to keep him in shape and to keep the stump in the best condition to prepare it for a prosthetic in a few months but no worries, I will drive him to all of those appointments.

JOHN SOUZA UPDATE-June 7
(Exerpts from email) Yesterday he was doing pretty well and went around the quad twice in his wheelchair. They were surprised at how well he manages using it...then they found out how much he has had to use it over the past years! The Band-Aid type wrap to cover the stump kept coming off so three nurses went to work trying to get it wrapped tight enough to stay on - but because of the swelling it still came off. They must have tried about four times before they all got together to figure a way to keep it on... They are afraid it will get an infection and insisted it be wrapped up. Finally the Physician's assistant came in and wrapped it up and taped it good. I will see what it looks like tomorrow. His sprits are still pretty good. We are still wondering if he will go someplace where to get re-hab therapy or straight home, with "out patient" therapy when he is released. We just don't know anything yet, I will try to keep everyone posted as we find out. Hugs,Ann

JOHN SOUZA UPDATE-June 5
Hello everyone, John came through his surgery this afternoon very well. Michael, Tim, Rachel and I headed home about 7:00 P M He was still having pain issues but he had eaten a little and they gave him some pain meds just before I left with the kids. No, he didn't want me to spend the night there because the last time I did (for his surgery in April when they discovered the cancer) neither of us got much sleep so he insisted to the kids that they drive me home...so here I am! But he has already called me once ;-) They did the cut about half way between his knee and the upper joint/groin area so they left enough to that he will be able to attach a prosthetic when it has healed...I am heading to bed Thank you to everyone for all the cards, letters and especially your prayers that they get all the cancer.

At the 2013 National Championships, for those judges who have a "B" Commission, there will be opportunities to trial judge and be mentored by National Judges to help refine your judging skills. Limited opportunities for "C" commissioned judges based on abailable openings.

No opportunity to take a "B" or "C" judges test?
That opportunity will exist at the National Championships also.
